The European Union, its Member States and Europeans across the continent are mobilised in support of people fleeing the war in Ukraine. We are working on all fronts to support Ukraine with assistance, humanitarian aid and civil protection. This specific initiative wants to support researchers of Ukraine by providing them with an overview of all existing actions at European and national levels.

Except the national refugee centers and the volunteers offers most of the universities in Bulgaria as well as the research institutes of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences offer accommodation for displaced researchers and their families from Ukraine and the region. Usually these are located in the respective dormitories or other suitable premises.

Apart from the officially published job offers all universities and research organisations in Bulgaria can open a dedicated position for the displaced researchers from Ukraine and the region. EURAXESS Bulgaria member organisations also offer support in finding a job for thier family members as well as kindergarden and school for their children.
