Job Description

• Develop applied research in R&D projects within the context of the Department's technology roadmap;
• Arising from R&D activities, actively collaborate in the production of scientific articles, patent registration, as well as in reporting the progress of R&D work;   
• Collaborate in the technical-scientific activity of the Department, namely in the execution and reporting of R&D activities;
• Collaborate in the management of the Department's infrastructures (work tools and laboratory resources);
• Participate in technical-scientific training activities in the context of projects and partnerships established by CiTin within the context of its mission;
• Ability to work in a team and independently;
• Good communication and organization;
• The R&D Engineer reports to the Digital Manufacturing Laboratory Leader.

Ideal Profile

We are seeking professionals with experience in R&D projects with skills in the development and integration of new technologies in the context of Industry 4.0/5.0 paradigms and in the design and conception of innovative systems for the factory of the future, i.e., manufacturing, logistics, etc. The ideal candidate has the following profile: 

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems Engineering and Management, Computer Systems Engineering, Telecommunications and Computer Engineering, Network and Computer Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields
• Professional experience in R&D activities carried out in industry or R&D centers;
• Scientific publications in the areas of information systems, software engineering, production engineering - preferred;;
• Proficient in English;
• Good interpersonal relationships, communication skills, sense of responsibility, and proactive performance in a work context. This is a driving force for innovation, so it will be essential to have a resilient, dynamic, proactive, and ambitious spirit.
