TALENTify took part in an entrepreneurship training course initiated by the UNWE and the SciEntBG Hub

On February 25, 2025 the University of National and World Economy and the SciEntBG Entrepreneurship Hub organized a hybrid training course “Creating an Enterprise Based on a Scientific Product”. The event was attended by doctoral students and researchers from various universities and scientific institutions in Bulgaria.

The participants discussed main principles and approaches in scientific entrepreneurship, specifics of scientific products as an object of a start-up business, as well as possible solutions to basic problems when starting a business in Bulgaria.

Lecturers in the training were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kostadin Kolarov, Director of the Institute of Entrepreneurship at the UNWE and Head of the Entrepreneurship Department, together with the team of SciEntBG Hub.

The event provided an opportunity for exchanging experience, knowledge and recommendations related to intellectual property, scientific entrepreneurship and building connections between science and business.

CPSBB was among the institutes presented at the event as an example of scientific entrepreneurship and development of fundamental and applied research at a world level.

Prof. Dr. Vesela Kazashka presented the activities of CPSBB and the specifics of the TALENTify Hub, which was established at the Center. She introduced the researchers from the University of Varna, University of National and World Economy, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and Sofia University to the vision of the Center and the results achieved since its establishment in 2015. The main emphasis was placed on the attraction, retention and development of researchers, young scientists and doctoral students from both Bulgaria and abroad. Prof. Kazashka’s presentation also highlighted key aspects related to the training of doctoral students at the CPSBB, as well as the importance of scientific infrastructure and technologies for the professional development of the research team.

The organizers expressed their satisfaction with the active participation and interest in the topics, emphasizing the importance of scientific entrepreneurship for the development and sustainability of our scientific ecosystem.
