On January 15, 2025, Dmytro Zherlitsyn represented the SciHubBG team at the international webinar "Challenges and Good Practices in Mobility," organized by the Community of Practice "Supporting Mobility and Procedures." This online event, hosted by EURAXESS Nederland, brought together experts to address non-EU researchers' key mobility challenges and share successful practices across Europe. The key focus areas included visa processes, document legalization, and family integration. These challenges are particularly relevant for Bulgarian international researchers, who often face similar barriers. Issues such as lengthy administrative procedures, lack of support for family members, and difficulties in navigating residency requirements remain urgent, especially for young scientific entrepreneurs and refugee researchers striving to establish cross-border ventures and refugee researchers seeking stability and career development. The webinar highlighted the EU Directive 2016/801 and its role in simplifying entry and residence procedures for researchers, with case studies from the Netherlands, Ireland, and Germany demonstrating practical national approaches to enhancing mobility and attracting international talent.
